Where Vulnerability Becomes Strength
The work we do in relationship and sex therapy is deeply is personal — and so is my approach. Guiding you toward deeper connection — with yourself and others.
Practice Areas
-
Social Emotional Relationship Therapy
Social Emotional Relationship Therapy (SERT) acknowledges that there are inherent power differences in all relationships. Where we come from, our culture, and our life experiences influence who we are and how we show up in relationship with others.
The flow of power is always shifting. The goal is not to balance the power. It’s about supporting one another in our unique identities.

-
Narrative Therapy
Narrative Therapy recognizes that you are separate from your problems. By understanding your problems separate from you, we can examine how they are impacting you, your life, and your relationships.
From there, we can collaborate on how you would prefer to see yourself and your relationships and work towards those goals.

-
Emotionally Focused Therapy
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is steeped in evidence that our connections with ourselves and others impacts how we navigate the world.
By identifying existing patterns of negative emotional reaction, we can form a deeper desire for connection and begin fostering new patterns of communication and relational commitment.

Real Conversations. Real Connection.
Why Paper Umbrella?
Rituals and symbols are important markers of our human experience. I pocketed my first paper umbrella on a night a friend shared celebratory news around a major life event. Since then, I’ve continued to collect them as mementos throughout my life. They are tokens to honor those sparkling moments, whether large or small. Collectively, they make up a larger story.
The name has taken on other meanings for me over time, but I would like to know:
What comes to mind when you think of a Paper Umbrella?
